Role Overview
As a Senior Valve Design Calculation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex design calculations to ensure the functionality, safety, and reliability of valve systems across various applications. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, improve designs, and support client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed design and stress calculations for valves using advanced engineering tools and methodologies.
• Analyze fluid dynamics and pressure conditions to optimize valve performance.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and coatings based on environmental and operational conditions.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and industry guidelines including ASME, API, and ISO.
• Create technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and presentations, for design reviews and client approvals.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address challenges related to production processes and ensure design feasibility.
• Perform failure analysis and propose corrective actions for design improvements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in valve design and engineering calculations.
• Proficiency in software tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalent for computational analysis.
• Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design codes and practices.
• Track record of successful project management and delivery within deadlines.
